The Queensland Muslim Times website serves about 5000 unique visitors each month with the main purpose of providing new, reviews and general information to all of those who need it. Apart from the new look, there are a number of new features on the QMT website.
1) A new Search function which now allows you to find anything it any area. Be it a halal restaurant for your suburb or the closes Mosque to your post code.
2) Review and Rate Restaurants and share your experience with others
3) The new USER TALK is a way of having your opinion heard or your question answered. Be it if KFC is halal or where to perform salat at Brisbane Airport. Rest assured your questions will be answered. We suggest this the best method for asking any general questions
4) JOBS! Along with other upgrades, one of our most notable features is the addition of QMT JOBS. This is a section where employers can place adverts looking for staff or if you are looking for a job, you can place your resume on the net and let employers browse trough it.
5) Now QMT members can contribute articles, audio downloads, events and much more all instantly. Simply register on the website and click on the relevant links

Once again we have now introduced more user features. A very simple forum Like system named, “User Talk” The idea is not that of a Forum but just a small place to answer and archive questions. The other purpose is that we have alot of questions so this way the greater community can ask questions and get help and assistance from everyone, this way we call can learn together. Have a look at http://www.qmt.org.au/newbb+index.htm

At the current time we are trying out a new menu bar in order to make our website much more user friendly. The main goal is to make things much more accessible and easy to find. Alot of times people can get lost in a website and sometimes we get request for normal information that to us seems very accessible but not to the user.
To change that we have made three changes
1) implementation of an integrated google search
2) The addition of a drop down menu on the top of the website
3) A new feature which has now replaced our normal menu which is a sliding menu.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated on more ways we can further enhance the ease of use of the website.
As we add more features we will continue to keep you informed

The Queensland Muslim Times website is currently undergoing a completely new interface of which the main goal is to achieve a very usable interface.
To date we have so far changed the look of the website with our new header completed but there is much more work especially in regard to the directory. We are thinking about introducing a forum like system but your feedback is required before we make such a bold move.
Given that we have such a large website and are adding to the websites features enormously at this time it makes the challenge much harder. Inshallah we are trying our best and spending a great deal of time.
We can only accomplish this with your help so Please give us all of your feedback, wanted features and comments by using the contact us button on the top of the page.
Jasakallah
